Oak Grove Elementary 4th graders enjoyed an eye-opening historical presentation from the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).

Sarah Moon talked about the Boston Tea Party, and Chotts Dunkin spoke on George Washington’s creation of the Purple Heart award.

Marc Potteiger and Debi Riddle both presented in period attire. Potteiger portrayed a soldier at Valley Forge. Riddle portrayed Nancy Hart, the only female namesake for a Georgia county.
