North Fayette and Oak Grove Elementary students are outperforming expectations in literacy, earning Bright Spots Top School recognition.
Both schools rank top 5% in Georgia in terms of outscoring their expected reading proficiency based on spring 2024 3rd-grade reading scores. The expected literacy proficiency rate was calculated using the school’s poverty level and how many students are on free and reduced lunch.
North Fayette’s expected proficiency level was 35% while their actual score was 56%.
Oak Grove expected proficiency level was 55% while their actual score was 72%.
The 74 is a non-profit that covers education across the country. The 74 Bright Spots Top School motto is “Beating the Odds in Literacy.”
