The Newnan-Coweta Art Association (NCAA) has selected Laurie Rodriguez as its featured “Artist of the Month” for September. Ms. Rodriguez’s art will be featured in the entryway to Newnan City Hall until October.
Laurie was born and raised in Hawaii. She loves to paint and she loves the vibrant colors that are Hawaii. She the most fun painting outdoors! After a successful 32 years of owning a retail store and raising 5 kids in Hawaii, Laurie and her husband spent several years traveling full-time in an RV across this beautiful nation. They found Georgia was “the” place (of all the many places) to be. They love Georgia, the people, and all the trees. They still have a home on Oahu, Hawaii, which they also love and spend time at.
Laurie joined the NCAA in October 2025 and is enjoying building connections with the local art community.
