The Peachtree City Council recognized Sasha Pope on Dec. 4 for her recent efforts to assist a pedestrian who was struck by a motorcycle. The victim received extensive leg and head trauma. Sgt. Odilia Bergh said “Pope stopped and aided medics and police by keeping the victim conscious through conversation and prayers. She obtained family contact information from the victim, who was from Illinois. Her help was invaluable as officer had two separate helicopters landing form victims amid highway construction.
