Caren Bowers, an eighth grader at J.C. Booth Middle School, completed her Silver Award Project by refurbishing her school’s courtyard. Bowers and her team of volunteers–which included her troop, friends and family–cleaned the beds, raised the canopy, installed landscape fabric and spread mulch. The project took over 50 hours to complete. Photo/Submitted.
