Bikers, it’s not too late to join the 2nd annual, “rally4thekidz,” an Oct. 23-26 motorcycle rally hosted by Providence United Methodist Church to raise funds for kidz2leaders, Inc.

Riders from the southside of Atlanta will leave from Providence at 9 a.m. on Oct. 23 to meet up with the rest of the group at Mt. Bethel UMC in Marietta. The group will ride from Marietta to their home base for the weekend, the Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge in Stecoah, N.C.

Throughout the weekend bikers will ride famous motorcycle routes, including Tail of the Dragon and the Cherohala Skyway.

“This is a fun way to get out and ride while supporting kidz2leaders, explains Providence’s senior pastor, the Rev. Diane Parrish. “We started the organization to reach the children of prisoners in our state when they are young, to teach them to become leaders and to provide a life of hope through Christian programming and a fun environment. In 15 years we have reached 400 children with a positive message, mentoring and encouragement.”

Registration for the ride continues at www.kidz2leaders.org or email nancy.jakaitis@kidz2leaders.org or call 770-977-7751.
