Pet of the Week: Lady; a gentle, smart cutie who loves people and chew toys

When you look at Lady you might see some chihuahua ears, hound like markings, and lap dog characteristics.

     Lady is Weekend Warrior approved, meaning she can leave the shelter for a few days with a potential adopter to check if she/ family are a good fit for each other. Lady loves going for walks where she can sniff, pause, sniff again. She would enjoy just sniffing around a fence backyard as well. She loves going back in her open crate for comfort; that’s where she stores her sturdy stuffed animals. She loves brain-game toys and hard chews. 

     This smart girl focuses on the handler and waits for instructions. She already does tricks often like sit, wait, watch, and “touch”( she will jump and touch your hand with her nose on demand! She is big on kissing and showing sweet affection. She loves sitting by people or on their lap when allowed. Lady is 25 lbs, approx. 3-4 years old and ready to be your snuggle bug. She is very, very sweet.

     Dog Adoptions are FREE at the shelter until 4/19.

     If you would like to meet Lady, you can visit her at the Fayette County Animal Shelter, located at 1131 Highway 74 South in Peachtree City. The shelter is now open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come meet Lady! She is a favorite among volunteers
