Peachtree City United Methodist Church (PTCUMC), 225 Robinson Rd., continues its Summer Speaker Series today, June 18, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Karen Stephens will lead participants in a discussion about “Love and Hospitality” as related in Hebrews 13:1-3: “Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.”

The evening session begins at 7 p.m. and will be hosted by Don and Jamie Lambing who will present the topic, “Fight or Flight.” The Lambings will explore questions on “What it means to fight the good fight,” and “When should we stand firm or flee?” In 1 Corinthians 9:26 it says, “… do not run like someone running aimlessly; we do not fight like a boxer beating the air.” So, what is the answer — fight or flight?

The PTCUMC Summer Speaker Series outreach will continue in July with three additional sessions, July 9, 16, and 23.

All community members are welcome to attend any of these sessions.
