Fayetteville Elementary was turned into a Winter Wonderland to help the Tiger Cub community get ready for the holiday break.
“Winter Wonderland is our semester PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support) celebration of the way FES students and staff show up every day by teaching, modeling, and reinforcing positive behaviors that help our entire school community thrive,” said Principal Andrea Freeman.
The spirit of the season filled the school, with teachers decorating their doors and hallways in themes like Peanuts and the Grinch. On December 19, an immersive PBIS celebration brought a train ride, snow tube slide, and other inflatable play spaces to thrill the students while “snow” filled the air.
“Seeing those smiles was deeply affirming,” said Freeman. “It reminded us that when we intentionally teach and celebrate positive behavior, students feel proud of who they are becoming, and that joy is what makes the work truly meaningful.”
