The work of two talented artists from Sandy Creek High is on display Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport for the FIFA World Cup.
Amir Hood and Ali Moore were each assigned to create a 19×17 landscape representing the national soccer teams for Hungary and the Czech Republic respectively. Their work will be on display in Terminal T at the airport to welcome athletes and visitors to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Sandy Creek art teacher Evenie Bour got the ball rolling by contacting GAEA Atlanta Airport Youth Art Galleries about her students submitting artwork for the exhibit. The school was assigned Hungary and the Czech Republic. Bour picked one of the pieces based on the use of the elements of art and principles of design. The school’s administrators voted on their favorite for the second piece.
