Neighbors helping neighbors — Peachtree City combines football fun with a mission to feed and clothe local families.
Peachtree City is proud to partner with Midwest Food Bank and Bloom to host a Community Food and Clothing Drive during Family Football Saturday at Drake Field on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12 PM to 8 PM.
This special event unites two meaningful causes—fighting hunger and supporting youth in need—to make a lasting difference this season. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations for the Midwest Food Bank and gently used shoes and clothing (for young children to young adults) in support of Bloom.
“This event truly highlights the heart of Peachtree City,” said Mayor Kim Learnard. “When we come together—whether it’s to feed a family, clothe a child, or simply share an afternoon of community—we strengthen the bonds that make this city so special. I’m proud of how our residents continue to step up for one another.”
Midwest Food Bank is requesting nonperishable items such as:
- Canned meats, vegetables, fruits, and soups
- Boxed and ready-to-eat foods like mac & cheese, oatmeal, peanut butter, and ramen
Bloom will be collecting:
- Gently used shoes and clothing for children and young adults
Those who wish to donate can drop off their items at the Recreation Tent during the event.
Together, Peachtree City, Midwest Food Bank, and Bloom are ensuring that no one in our community goes without the essentials this season. For more information, contact the Recreation and Special Events department at 770-631-2525 or visit their Facebook Events page.
Located 22 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Peachtree City is Fayette County’s largest city. The planned community, chartered in 1959, boasts more than 100 miles of multi-use paths that allow over 40,000 residents to navigate the town using golf carts instead of cars.
