The new 18-court facility will expand the city’s growing recreational amenities.

Peachtree City, GA (October 9, 2025):  Peachtree City is set to break ground on its newest recreation facility—the Meade Field Pickleball Complex—on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The groundbreaking ceremony will be at Jim Meade Memorial Park (101 Meade Field Drive).

This highly anticipated project will feature 18 pickleball courts, marking one of the largest dedicated pickleball complexes in the region. Once completed, the new complex will provide expanded opportunities for recreation, fitness, and community connection for residents and visitors alike.

“This new complex represents our ongoing commitment to recreation, wellness, and community engagement,” said Mayor Learnard. “Pickleball has exploded in popularity, and we’re thrilled to bring a top-tier facility that serves both our residents and visitors from across the region.”

The Recreation and Special Events Director, Harold Layton, shared the department’s excitement about the addition. “The Meade Field Pickleball Complex will be a game changer for Peachtree City,” said Layton. “It’s not just about the courts—it’s about creating a vibrant space where people of all ages can come together, stay active, and enjoy our city’s recreational spirit.”

The public is welcome to attend and celebrate this milestone for Peachtree City’s recreation system. For more information about the Pickleball Complex, call 770-631-2525 or visit peachtree-city.org.
