Fayette Samaritans request food and volunteers for August

Fayette Samaritans, a Christian nonprofit organization serving families in need throughout Fayette County, is calling on the community for support in the areas of volunteering and donations this month.

The organization needs volunteers to assist in the office, clothes closet, and food pantry. Volunteers would assist during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. one day a week. If you are willing and able to help, please call the Fayette Samaritans office at 770-719-2707. 

In terms of physical donations, the Fayette Samaritans are accepting all donations of food, clothing, and money. For the month of August, specific items in short supply are:

  • Canned chicken
  • Canned beef stew
  • Hamburger Helper
  • Pasta sauce
  • Oatmeal (single serving)
  • Raisins (single serving)
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Bar soap
  • Feminine products
  • Women’s socks
  • All sizes of women’s underwear
  • Men’s boxer shorts 

Donations can be dropped off at the Fayette Samaritans office, 126 Hickory Road, Fayetteville, GA, during regular hours. Every contribution makes a positive impact in the lives of members of our community in need. For more information, visit or call Fayette Samaritans at 770-719-2707.
