Laverne Leverett, 72, of Union City, passed away January 19, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sherman Joe Leverett.

She is survived by her sons David (Charlotte) Leverett and William (Sandy) Boyd; grandchildren Brent & Jonathan Leverett and Sydney & Chandler Boyd; great-grandchild Kaitlyn Leverett; sister Charlotte Thomas; sister-in-law Betty Bishop; also nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Pastor Gene Luke will officiate. The burial will follow at Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
