The 14th Annual Southern Crescent Walk To End Alzheimer’s was held in Peachtree City in October.

Nearly 1,000 people came from Clayton, Fayette, Henry, Meriwether, South Fulton and Spalding County to participate.

The total amount raised by walkers and area teams was $167,341, which includes both in-kind and sponsor donations.

Since its inception in 2000, the walk has raised a total of $2,494,371. The donations are forwarded to the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

They offer a wide range of programs and services to assist Georgia individuals and families coping with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
