On Sunday, June 2, The Summit Church in Fayetteville presented a seven-foot “portable”cross to Richard Sharp, an international evangelist with Operation Mobilization.
The cross is a replica of a wooden one held by Operation Mobilization in Ireland and was designed by Paul Youngblood and Richard Childers, members of The Summit.
During May, Sharp traveled in Ireland with a team of youth, picking up trash and talking about how the cross clears the “trash in our lives.”
The wooden cross remains with Operation Mobilization in Ireland. The cross that The Summit presented to Sharp is made of aluminum, is light weight, and is designed to come apart to be stored in a bag which can be put in the overhead compartment of a plane. It is designed to be a “traveling cross
