Cheryl Lynn Potter, 55, of Peachtree City

Cheryl Lynn Potter, 55, of Peachtree City, passed away May 22, 2013.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter and sister.

She worked in Accounts Receivables for Universal Environmental. Cheryl was also a long-time member of Fayette Family Church where she was the Director of Children’s Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edmund Boyd, Jr. and brother, David Boyd.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Meade and Rick (Kristy) Chaffin, all from Newnan; mother, Dollie Boyd of Peachtree City; sister, Cathy Penner of Sharpsburg; brothers, Gerald Boyd of Senoia, Steven Boyd of Peachtree City; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Fayette Family Church, Fayetteville with Pastor Jerry Young officiating.

Ms. Potter will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. The family received friends Friday at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
