Harry Truman’s understanding that “the buck stops here,” meaning with the President of the United States, is not part of the thinking of the Obama administration.
I call into question the leadership of a president who claims not to know anything about anything that could make him appear in a bad light.
I challenge the qualifications and leadership of an attorney general who claims not to know what his people are doing; of senior officials, current and past, in the CIA and State Department who claim not to know what their people were reporting, requesting, and doing; and of senior IRS officials who claim not to know what their people are doing.
It appears that more energy is going into erecting firewalls between the politicos and the real world than in governing.
This administration has trampled and disrespected the Constitution for so long that they are now out of control. We the people, and our representatives in Congress, have tolerated this; we share the blame.
The attitudes of Mr. Obama, Mr. Biden, Mr. Holder, and others of their coterie have shaped the attitudes and actions of their subordinates. Their firm belief in “me first, at all costs,” and “the law and the Constitution are for others to obey,” are hallmarks of the leadership we have allowed to flourish, like a noxious weed.
We must take back our government; and the elections of 2014 and 2016 may be too late.
The Constitution of the United States provides that “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
I believe it is a certainty that thorough investigations would reveal evidence sufficient to impeach the current president, the current attorney general, and other “civil officers” in the Justice Department and in the Internal Revenue Service, and to find them guilty of high crimes.
I call for those investigations. I offer for consideration Fast and Furious, Benghazi, Justice’s subpoenas of Associated Press phone records, IRS targeting conservative groups, and the rather obvious (to this observer) attempts by the administration to cripple not only the Constitution, but also the ability of the people to bring suit to enforce the Constitution.
Please, write the members of your congressional delegation, and ask for these investigations.
