Mildred Estelle “Millie” Sells, a resident of Ashley Glenn in Peachtree City, and a former resident of Grantville, passed away on April 18, 2013 at the age of 90.

Millie was a loving mom and an adventurous, goal oriented person. She grew up as a “southern woman in a man’s world” but never let that slow her down. She was a trailblazer in the women’s working world, working for Conoco Phillips as a land planner in oil exploration. She didn’t ask for other’s opinions or permission, “She just did it”. Millie was community oriented with a great respect for her community and the people who lived in it. She loved children, both hers and those of others and did everything she could to help them succeed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Margarite Anne Biffle; and son Kenneth Darrell Sells, III.

Millie is survived by her sons Jim Sells and wife Lisa of Grantville, John Sells and wife Laura of Parker, Colo.; daughter Mary Hatley of Peachtree City; grandchildren Jim Sells of Grantville, Scott Sells and wife Rachael of Sharpsburg, Matthew Sells of Newnan, Casey Hatley of Grantville; and sister Margarite Bozian of Cincinnati, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday April 21 at Grantville United Methodist Church, 54 Church St., Grantville at 4 p.m. with Reverend Blair Tolbert.
