Ah, Ms. Lum, you ascribe life in an alternate universe for myself and Mr. Allen. You may be correct.
In the universe where I reside, words used by you to describe those with whom you disagree, words like; intolerance, chicanery, incompetence, asinine, bigotry, hypocrisy, stupidity, racist, ignorance, etc. are in fact not civil discourse and do reflect hate.
I am sure that you recall the President’s call for civility after the Phoenix shooting, but maybe in your universe that message was only meant for Republicans.
Your words stand on their own and do reflect upon you as do my words reflect upon me. Mr. Allen quite clearly made the point that such words as used by you to describe Republicans if used against Democrats would not stand with you, and I suspect that you would have a view of them more like in my universe.
While I thoroughly disagree with nearly everything that you said in your original note, I as a civil communicator would never suggest that you were any of those things that you easily place at other’s feet, not even that you lived in an alternate universe.
But alas, this is the America of today where double standards abound and those who choose conservatism are considered pariahs by those who wish to restructure.
As I stated before, such vitriol is expected from the left. Another habit of the vocal left is the need to always have the last word, and I’m sure that you will not disappoint.
