Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran adds two new staff members

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City has welcomed two new members to the staff: Sandra Bohlken and Linda Volckmann.

Sandra Bohlken holds two positions: director of communications and director of contemporary worship music. She comes to Christ Our Shepherd from Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Atlanta, having previously held ministry positions in Tennessee and Idaho.

At Redeemer, she was a youth choir director and a lead musician in a contemporary service, House of the Rock. She continues as a musician for the twice-monthly Bar Church which meets at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta. At COS she is  in charge of the 10:50 a.m. Sunday worship music, working with the GraceFlock Band and 2nd Sunday Band.

As director of communications, she is responsible for all church publications, print and online.

Linda Volckmann is the office administrator, responsible for ministry support. She retired after a long career with Hella, having moved here with the company in 1991.

A longtime volunteer, she has served as a Sunday School teacher and contemporary worship leader, along with a term on the congregational council.
