Robert “Bob” Joseph Ostapower, Sr. of Peachtree City, Ga. passed away Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the age of 76.
He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. on Dec. 13, 1936 to Frank and Josephine Labenski Ostapower.
Bob was a Project Manager in commercial construction. Bob loved his family most of all but also loved cruises and vacationing at the beach. He loved his Georgia Bulldogs and his Philadelphia Phillies. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 53 years, Mary Ellen Ostapower; children Joanne & Glenn Eastlack of Lensdale, Pa., Bob, Jr. & Teresa Ostapower of Johns Creek, Ga., Diane & Robert Kurbes of Peachtree City, Ga., Rick & Suzy Ostapower of Newnan, Ellen & Darrin Helfers of Newnan, Ga.; grandchildren Stephan, Michael & Megan Eastlack, Rachel & Brian Ostapower, Robby & Scott Kurbes, McKenzie Akers & Devon Ostapower, Emma, Josie & Andrew Helfers; Bob’s sister Joan & Carl Hautzinger & brother-in-law Robert Shoemaker & late wife Irene.
A funeral service was held Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City. Burial followed at Westminster Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends prior to the service at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City, Ga.
