0Johnnie “John” Eugene Lee, 72, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017.
A highly devoted father and grandfather, John was born on January 15, 1945 in Savannah, Ga. to the late James “Frank” and Anna Lee. He was a former member of Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church of Peachtree City, a current member of St. Mark United Methodist Church of Atlanta, and a faithful servant of Christ.
Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline Lee in 2003; his brother, Furman Lee in 2011, and his parents.
He is survived by his son, Stephen (Tamara) Lee; grandsons, Caleb Stephen Lee and Elijah James Lee; sister, Eleanor Scarbrough; and sister-in-law, Kathy Lee.
His funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga., with Rev. John Weber officiating. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial took place at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Savannah, Ga.
