The Fayette County Commission on July 27 authorized the acquisition of right-of-way and easement needed to construct the intersection at Ga. Highway 92 North, Veterans Parkway and Westbridge Road.
Fayette County Public Works Director Phil Mallon said the project will complete Veterans Parkway, install a two-way stop at the new intersection, provide turn lanes along Hwy. 92 and align Westbridge Road.
Commissioners on May 25 unanimously approved a $894,881 bid by E.R. Snell to construct the intersection.
Veterans Parkway, currently closed north of Lee’s Mill Road, is completed nearly all the way to Hwy. 92 North.
