Richard Craig Potter, of Fayetteville, Ga., passed away peacefully on September 5th after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born on May 2nd 1959 in Daytona Beach, Fla., to Richard Alfred Potter and Mary Elizabeth Potter, Richard graduated from Seabreeze High School (Daytona Beach) in 1977 and the University of Central Florida (Orlando) in 1982. A resident of Fayetteville since 2005, Rick enjoyed his work as the CEO of CAR Financial Services and was an avid hunter, golfer, and fisherman.

Richard is survived by his wife of 31 years Emily Paige Potter, three children Adam Harrison Potter, Nathan Daniel Potter, and Hannah Marie Potter, and his brother Jeffrey Daniel Potter.

A prayer vigil for Richard will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on September 15th at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 16th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Peachtree City.
