The second round of the GHSA state tennis tournament is in the books and three local teams will advance to next week’s quarterfinals.
For the girls, East Coweta lost 3-0 to Walton while Starr’s Mill defeated Thomas County Central 5-0 and will play at Kell.
For the boys, Starr’s Mill defeated Wayne County 4-1 and will play at Carrollton. McIntosh defeated Bainbridge 4-0 and will play at Chamblee.
Quarterfinal matches are to be completed by May 2.
