The Latimers are ensuring their legacy lives on by giving back. Geimere Latimer and Amari Latimer presented the Sandy Creek High football team a donation check of $10,000 after a preseason practice.
The brothers are gearing up for the season at West Virginia University. Geimere, a defensive back, is entering his senior season and first at West Virginia after playing for Wisconsin and Jacksonville State. Amari is a freshman running back coming off a state championship season where he was named Mr. Georgia by the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.
“We are proud of these two young men for giving back to the program that helped shape them,” said head coach Darius Smiley. “Our players and coaches are grateful for this kind gesture and will use it wisely.”
