Ida Mae Plunkett, 92, of Fayetteville, Ga.

Ida Mae Plunkett, 92, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Ida was born to Roy Lee Barber and Ozella Young Barber in Social Circle, Georgia, on Saturday, July 13, 1929.

Mae is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, George Thomas Plunkett. She is survived by her sons, Tony (Tina) Plunkett and Steve (Fran) Plunkett; grandchildren, Nathan Plunkett, Daniel Plunkett, Thomas (Jessica), Sean (Carly) Plunkett, Joel (Jamie) Plunkett, Samuel (Kate) Plunkett; and great-grandchildren, Layla Mason and Jarrett Mason.

A funeral service will occur on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. 

Visitation will be prior to service from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home on the same day. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, after the service on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
