3899 | 0Fayetteville Fire and Police departments responded to a small fire reported just before noon, Sept. 14, at the Ingles Supermarket on Highway 92 South near the South Glynn Street (Highway 85 South) intersection.
Firefighters located the fire in a deep fryer in the back of the bakery area, and it was quickly extinguished.
The building was safely evacuated, and there were no injuries reported. The store will be temporarily closed while repairs are performed.
