0Shanaya Popatiya of Kedron Elementary won for the 3rd grade at the 2024 Griffin RESA Regional Literacy Days poetry recitation competition.
Students are judged on stage presence, articulation, interpretation, difficulty of piece, and memory and accuracy. They can earn extra points for fluency, gestures, and expression.
The Griffin RESA Regional Literacy Days Festival includes students from the school systems of Butts, Fayette, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, Spalding, and Upson counties.
