Clark David “Corky” Felker, Sr. passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Fayetteville, Georgia. Born on May 3, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, Corky lived a life brimming with experiences, characterized by his unwavering curiosity, astute business acumen, and unwavering passion for competition.
His entrepreneurial spirit flourished as he owned and operated several NAPA stores, demonstrating a remarkable aptitude for business that was evident to all who interacted with him. Corky also served his country as a veteran.
Corky enjoyed the opportunity to spend quality time with his family, especially his beloved wife, Mary Jane; their son, Clark; his daughter-in-law, Holly; and his granddaughter, Jessica.
In his free time, Corky was an avid golfer and poker enthusiast. He relished the exhilaration of competition and the camaraderie that accompanied it. His dry wit and unique perspective on life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Corky Felker was preceded in death by his devoted parents, John and Effie Felker, and his sister, Jean. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Felker; his son, Clark (Holly) Felker Jr.; his granddaughter, Jessica Felker; his sisters, Margaret (Kenny), Marlene, and Lorna; his brother-in-law, Jerry (Mary); and an extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished his presence.
In honoring Corky’s memory, we celebrate not only the individual he was but also the enduring legacy he leaves behind—a testament to a life well-lived. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
The family will receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in honor of Corky, a proud member of the Shriners club.
Burial services will be held privately for family and close friends.
