Mr. Beverly, I read your recent article on your choices for who you are voting for this election. I appreciate not only the thoroughness of the explanation, but your concern for both the cities and county’s future.
I would like to respectfully inform you (or remind you) that pretty much everything you have listed in your article I agree with.
Not only do I agree with it, but they have been central to my platform for running for county commissioner for District 2.
Although you probably have already voted, I hope that you will relay to people who have yet to make their choice that at least one Democrat understands what’s happening to Fayette County.
I grew up here. I love the county with all of my heart and I do not want it to go the way of other metro Atlanta counties.
Thank you for all you’ve done for the county and it citizens by making them aware of government action and the results there in.
Very Respectfully,
Bobby Jones
CDR USN (Ret.)
I’m disappointed in Cal’s blanket statement that he’s voting straight ticket, offering no explanation except the state of council decisions in Fayetteville. There’s a lot of true information out there about current Republican commissioners seeking reelection, and I cannot vote for them just because we share a political party label. I am hopeful many voters have taken the time to do their due diligence to investigate Bobby Jones and what he stands for and realize District 2 has a person of integrity to replace the incumbent.
