A training class for those approved to serve as Licensed Liturgical Ministers (also known as Lay Eucharistic Ministers) in the Charismatic Episcopal Church’s Diocese of the Mid-South was held June 16 at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg.
The class was taught by Archdeacon Daniel Hale III of Peachtree City. Hale also serves as the vicar of St. Matthew’s Church in Hogansville.Class members were exposed to history, theology, and practical aspects concerning the work of LLMs.
Under the direction of their rector or vicar, they will take Holy Communion to the sick, shut-in, and hospitalized members of their churches, will assist as chalice bearers, and perform other duties as authorized by the bishop.
