Moms in Prayer plan kickoff coffee
Moms in Prayer will host its kickoff coffee Thursday, Aug. 23, from 9:30-11 a.m. at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, Highway 92, Fayetteville. Moms in Prayer International (www.momsinprayer.org) is a worldwide non-denominational, non-profit organization where two or more moms gather together to pray for children and their schools. Prayer group meets at Summit
A community prayer group meets at The Summit Family Resource Center, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 S. Fayetteville, from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday mornings. This is an inter-denominational event. Everyone is invited. Call 770-460-3335 for more information.

Real Life Center needs donations
The Real Life Center, which operates a food pantry, has a continuous need for food/pantry items. Donations can be dropped off at the Real Life Center, 382 Senoia Rd., Tyrone, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon, and Thursday evenings from 5-7 p.m. The center is sponsored and supported by several churches in the area. Pastoral care training offered here
Piedmont Fayette Hospital offers graduate level pastoral care training known as clinical pastoral education (CPE) for community members and clergy interested in learning more about spiritual care. Over the course of five months, the CPE students will engage with patients in a variety of settings including hospitals, prisons and hospice facilities. The CPE program is offered twice a year at both Piedmont Fayette Hospital and Piedmont Henry Hospital. Enrollment in Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s CPE program is limited to seven students per class.
