With great love and fond memories, Charles David Trinoskey (1946-2024) peacefully passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 77, at his home in Fayetteville, Georgia.
He was surrounded by his family and left behind a legacy of love. Throughout Chuck’s rich life, he earned various endearing nicknames that marked different chapters of his journey:
“Chuck” was born on August 22, 1946, to the late Vernon E. Trinoskey and Burnice Trinoskey (Koepkey) in North Judson, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother Theodore “Ted” and sister Susan “Sue”.
“Charlie” is survived by his devoted wife Lynn, his daughter Kiersten Scheule (Jeff), son Gavin Trinoskey (Caroline), and daughter Raven Bradford (Caan). He was affectionately known as “Pops” by his nine grandchildren: Charlee, Lily Claire, Edie, Parks, Mae, Whit, Rhett, and Elin. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters Barbara “Bobbie Jo” and Margaret “Punk”.
Chuck excelled as an honor student and all-star athlete in North Judson, Indiana. He continued his education and athletics at Kendall College in Chicago, where he met Lynn (Blomseth), his beloved wife.
In the Army “Skey” distinguished himself during his service as a decorated Vietnam Veteran with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. As a Sky Soldier renowned for their fortitude and resilience, Chuck saw active combat.
Nicknamed “The Beaver” for his strong work ethic, Chuck left the Midwest for new chapters of life in Florida and finally Georgia. He dedicated himself to providing for his family, working in the lumber industry and holding management positions at two large department stores. Chuck led by example and was respected by those he worked with.
Known for his mechanical skills, Chuck was an avid shade-tree mechanic who generously assisted others with their cars. He had a deep passion for the Atlanta Braves, while always maintaining a strong connection to his Midwest roots.
Chuck will be fondly remembered for his unwavering dedication to family, his honorable service to his country, and his kindness and generosity towards others. His legacy of love and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. Your kindness is a source of comfort as we remember and honor the life of Chuck Trinoskey. A celebration honoring his life will take place on August 24th in Fayetteville, Georgia, two days following his 78th birthday.
