Two involuntary guests at the Fayette County Jail got into a fight and now find themselves facing additional charges aside from what landed them there in the first place.
The jail log shows that the two men — Rodney Philigence, 19, of Newnan; and Uriahs Stinchcomb, 35, of Fairburn — have been charged with unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, which is a felony, as well as misdemeanor battery. It is not known how the fight started.
Philigence was arrested twice in Fayette earlier in the year, on a felony drug charge in January and on a felony warrant in April. Stinchcomb was initially taken to jail on lesser charges.
Elsewhere in the county, deputies were called June 23 to a residence on the northern end of the county about a family altercation. The suspect threatened other family members with a firearm, although it was not discharged. He also did some damage inside the home, punching holes in the walls, according to a spokesman with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.
Joshua Gilstrap-Kennebrew, 18, of Fayetteville was arrested without incident. He is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, and possession of a weapon in commission of a crime. All are felonies. He also faces a disorderly conduct charge.
Another June 23 call led deputies to a residence where a man was located and found to be in violation of a temporary protective order against his wife. Brandon Gray, 44, of Fayetteville faces a felony charge of aggravated stalking.
During a June 22 traffic stop at Fishers Luck and Peachtree Parkway for multiple traffic violations, Peachtree City police detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. A probable cause search resulted in positive findings of THC. Brandon Raymondo, 19, of Atlanta was arrested on a felony drug charge and the traffic violations.
A Kia Optima was pulled over June 20 at Hwy. 74 and the Market Place Connector for multiple traffic violations. The driver admitted to police that his license was not valid, having been suspended twice for failure to appear and once for child support obligations. Derrick Thompson, 43, of Palmetto was arrested and transported to Fayette County Jail.
A June 20 traffic stop on a Chevy Silverado took place on Hwy. 74 near North Peachtree Parkway. Police confirmed that the driver had an active warrant from the Senoia Police Department for failure to appear. Tramell Favors, 43, was taken to Meade Field where Senoia officers took him into custody.
