Fayette County High JROTC wins 12th-straight area title

The Tigers are back on top. The Fayette County High JROTC Drill Team was named overall champion at their state qualifier competition, marking the 12th-straight year winning their area.

The Overall Drill Champion team also won first place for Regulation Armed Platoon, Regulation Unarmed Squad, Regulation Color Guard, Regulation Armed Squad, and Male Individual Exhibition. They placed 2nd for Regulation Unarmed Platoon.

The Drill Commanders are Cadet Kamren Madison and Cadet Spencer Fleming.

The squad is under the direction of First Sergeant Anthony Bell, Sr.

“Our Drill Commanders did an outstanding job,” said Sgt. Bell. “ I’m extremely proud to be their drill coach.”
