Traffic signal improvements are underway at Highway 54 and Gingercake Road intersection,
The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) announced it has begun work to improve traffic signal operations at the Highway 54 and Gingercake Road intersection. Officials say the project will take roughly three months to complete.
String pole lighting will be replaced with mast arms, and signal light timing will be adjusted to improve traffic flow. GDOT officials say they hope this will also help reduce accidents at the intersection.
