0Mrs. Laurie “Jane” McCollum, of Fayetteville, passed away on April 16, 2012 at the age of 74.
Jane was a supervisor over computer services with the Atlanta Public School System, retiring after 26 years of service.
She was a loving Mom, who was a great cook and was family oriented. She was a hard worker who was loyal and dedicated to her family and her job.
Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Earl McCollum.
She is survived by her daughters Cathy Kilgore of McDonough, Ga., Carol McCollum of Metairie, La.; granddaughter Laurie Turkel and her husband Barry of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandsons Roger Kilgore of Atlanta, Ga., Sam Kilgore and his wife Jill of McDonough; six great-grandchildren, Miles, Mason, Caylee, Marshall, Lily, Isaac; sister Alice Davis of Atlanta, Ga., and cousin Paul Davis of Baltimore, Md.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel. Reverend Glenn Stringham will officiate. Interment will follow in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
