The future is bright for the Crocodiles after they learned more about what they could do for a living some day. Cleveland Elementary’s Career Day brought members of the community to talk about their jobs and how to get started.
Students were given a chance the explore and learn more about professional paths and opportunities in a variety of different fields, including architecture, health care, public safety, and marketing. Volunteers came to classrooms to talk, and there was also an outdoor “Careers on Wheels” section where classes rotated through different careers that require some kind of specialty vehicle.
For counselor Dionna Polite, the hope is that the students got a sample of what they might want to do for a living one day.
“The goal of career day is exposure to different kinds of career options and allowing students to explore what is needed to obtain a career.”
