Fayetteville, Georgia (October 13, 2026) The Fayetteville Fire Department, alongside community partner QTS, today broke ground on the new Station 93, which will be built along Veterans Parkway on nine acres of land near the Highway 54 intersection. The new station is being funded by an $11.5 million contribution from QTS, and it will be the first permanent Station 93 facility after more than a decade of using two different houses in the area as temporary fire stations.

“The new Station 93 location will strategically position our personnel and apparatus to provide more effective emergency response coverage throughout this growing area of the city,” said Fayetteville Fire Chief Linda Black. “This location will enhance our ability to respond more efficiently to our residents, schools, senior living communities, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, and our growing business community, while also positioning the department to meet the future public safety needs of our community.”

Ever since Fayetteville first welcomed what is now Piedmont Fayette Hospital more than 30 years ago, the City’s west side has continued to grow and attract more medical facilities, businesses, homes, and even the film industry. Answering the call to better serve the City’s growing west side, the Fayetteville Fire Department in 2014 established its third fire station, Station 93, on a vacant homesite that was located on the hospital campus. When the hospital needed that land back in 2019, the fire department moved Station 93 to another available homesite in the area.

“Today, as we celebrate the Fayetteville Fire Department Station 93 groundbreaking, we also celebrate our community partnership with QTS and its investment in this important public safety infrastructure,” said Fayetteville Mayor Ed Johnson. “Having a third permanent fire station here on the west side of the city will help us better serve and protect our community for many years to come.”

The new fire station underscores QTS’s long-term commitment to responsible development and investment in the communities where its people live and work. Beyond building digital infrastructure and supporting local economic development, QTS invests in community priorities that strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life. Station 93 will create a lasting public safety asset for Fayetteville families.

“At QTS, we believe being a good neighbor means investing in the infrastructure and services that help communities thrive,” said David Robey, Co-CEO of QTS. “The Fayetteville Fire Department plays a vital role in protecting residents and businesses and supporting public safety every day. By donating the land and helping fund the development of this new station, we’re proud to support a project that will serve Fayetteville for decades to come and help ensure that growth creates lasting value for the community.”

Hogan Construction Group is serving as the general contractor for the new Fire Station 93, partnering with POH+W Architects on the design-build project. With more than 40 fire stations completed throughout the Southeast United States, Hogan brings extensive experience in delivering high-quality public safety facilities that serve the needs of first responders and their communities. “Fire stations are more than just buildings; they are critical facilities that support the men and women who protect our communities every day,” said Paul Hogan Jr., Vice President of Operations for Hogan Construction Group. “We are proud to partner with the City of Fayetteville and POH+W Architects to deliver a facility that will serve the community and its first responders for many years to come.”

Construction on Station 93 is expected to be completed in spring 2028. Project updates will be posted on the City of Fayetteville website and social media channels. Visit www.Fayetteville-GA.gov for more information.
