A graduate of Columbia International University and Moody Bible Institute, Eric has served in a variety of ministry roles in both the United States and Senegal in Africa. Most recently, he has served as Pastor of Spiritual Formation at Grace Church, where he has helped cultivate the church’s vision of following Jesus together in ways that enable Christ’s kingdom to flourish in others.
Eric and his wife, Amanda, have two adult children and one minor. Amanda serves as a fifth-grade teacher at Spring Hill Elementary in Fayetteville.
Eric succeeds Gary Franklin, who retired on August 2 after faithfully serving Grace Church for many years. Reflecting on Eric’s appointment, Gary said, “Eric brings a rich blend of pastoral leadership in the local church and cross-cultural experience. He has a genuine calling to follow Jesus and offer a Jesus-centered presence in our community and our world. As I retire, I am honored and hopeful for Eric to step into this role.”
Founded in 1973, Grace Church is a non-denominational congregation committed to helping people follow Jesus in authentic community. The church’s vision is to be a deeply relational community where the transforming life of Christ is evident in every person, extending God’s grace so that Christ’s kingdom may flourish throughout Fayette County and beyond.
The community is warmly invited to worship with Grace Church each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at 164 Flat Creek Trail, Fayetteville. Additional information about the church, its ministries, and upcoming events can be found at gracefayette.org.
