New Fayetteville City Council Member Emmett Spurlock Sworn In

Newly elected Fayetteville City Council Member Emmett Spurlock was officially sworn into office Monday morning, January 5, 2026, by Fayette County State Court Judge Jason Thompson. The ceremony at Fayetteville City Hall was attended by family members, City staff, and other City elected officials. The swearing-in ceremony for incumbent Post 5 City Council Member Dr. Niyah Glover and newly elected Post 4 City Council Member Shannon Moultrie will take place on Thursday, January 8, at 5 p.m. in the Fayetteville City Hall Council Chamber. This will be followed by the first regular Fayetteville City Council Meeting of the year at 6 p.m.
