Fayetteville, GA – Judge Jason B. Thompson is proud to announce more free sessions of The People’s Law School, a public education initiative aimed at helping citizens of all ages understand the legal system and the judicial branch. The series will be held in Fayetteville and Peachtree City, offering a unique opportunity for students and adults to learn together about how courts work and how laws affect daily life.
The sessions will be led by experienced legal professionals and judges. A range of topics will be covered including the structure of the court system, how cases are handled, and the role of judges, attorneys, and juries.
“This program is about opening the doors of the courthouse to the community,” said Judge Thompson. “The more we can do to demystify the law and promote transparency in our courts, the stronger our justice system becomes. When people understand how justice works, they are better equipped to engage in civic life and trust the legal process.”
The People’s Law School is designed to be interactive and accessible, with real-world examples and plenty of opportunities for Q&A. Whether you’re a high school student considering a career in law or an adult looking to better understand your rights and responsibilities, this course is for you.
