Brant Frost V, son of Edwin Brant Frost IV, is now moving into the insurance business following his and his father’s firm, First Liberty Building & Loan, which is now the subject of a federal investigation on the grounds that it was a Ponzi scheme.

Brant Frost V, who is now going by EB Frost, obtained the necessary licensing to become an insurance agent in August and is qualified to work in the accident and sickness and life lines of insurance. His principal business activities, as listed on his LinkedIn profile, are life, medical, long-term care and Medicare insurance.

Through working for Family First Life – an organization that works with independent contractor insurance agents and partners with the top carriers in the industry – Frost has affiliations with reputable carriers. Examples of affiliations listed with Frost include American General Life Insurance Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthcare Plan of Georgia, Transamerica Life Insurance Company and more. It is unclear the extent to which Frost is dealing with these carriers, or whether they are informed of his prior involvement with First Liberty.

According to a Republican leader in the area, Frost is reaching out to potential clients to inform them of this new endeavor and asking if they can put him in contact with anyone who might be Medicare-eligible. The leader also noted that he is encouraging potential clients to shelter their funds in life insurance.

“He should be fitting people for suits at Men’s Warehouse or something. I don’t want them defrauding anyone else,” said the source. “If I was an insurance seller in this area I’d be mortified these people are out there.”

Frost’s move into insurance comes as authorities continue to investigate the operations of First Liberty Building & Loan while determining what criminal charges are applied, if any, and to whom.
