The Senoia community is coming together in support of one of their own after a heartbreaking loss. Torbjorn “Toto” Singheimer, a dedicated firefighter/EMT,  recently lost his wife to a sudden illness, leaving him as the sole caregiver for their young daughter with special needs.

Singheimer, known for his years of service and commitment to public safety, has always been dependable to members of the community in their time of need. Now, his colleagues and neighbors are uniting to return the favor.

Billy Swanson, a fellow firefighter and coworker of Singheimer’s, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist Singheimer during this difficult time. With the unexpected nature of the loss, Swanson acknowledged that his coworker will have to take time off of work to care for his daughter and get their affairs in order. The fundraiser aims to provide relief for Singheimer as he navigates this loss.

“Toto has spent many years in public safety caring for others during their times of need,” Swanson wrote on the GoFundMe page.

The response from the community has been both generous and heartwarming. Along with the fundraiser, many are commenting on social media to show their support for Singheimer and sharing experiences where they experienced his kindness first-hand.

One person commented, “Toto responds to so many of our emergency calls where I work (a senior leaving community) and he exudes love and gentleness.”

Another wrote, “Toto is a wonderful guy and great to work with. He loves his family and deserves all the help he can get.” As of writing this article, the fundraiser has raised $6,350 dollars to help support Singheimer and his daughter. Those who would like to help can visit the gofundme page to help Singheimer in his time of need.
