Peachtree City, GA — Peachtree City Library is hosting a free financial readiness workshop titled “Smart Money 101: What I Wish I Learned in School” on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 2:00 PM. This engaging seminar, designed for teens and new adults ages 16 and older, will be led by Ryan White-Stevens, learning coach, mentor, and founder of Trektoo.
White-Stevens, known for partnering with teens and parents to help young people navigate life’s college and career decisions, will cover practical financial topics essential for young adults entering the world of independent living. Participants will learn how to manage their money wisely, avoid financial pitfalls, and build a solid financial foundation.
Topics include:
- How to safeguard against scams and prepare for financial emergencies
- Understanding credit scores and how to build good credit
- Credit card management tips and their pros and cons
- Loan basics, including student, car, and mortgage loans
