Young Crews Show Strength and Skill Ahead of Dogwood Youth Championships, by Dana Sweatt, Row Georgia Public Relations
Peachtree City, GA – April 16, 2025 – Row Georgia, a local rowing program located on Lake McIntosh in Peachtree City, delivered standout performances at the recent North Carolina State Championships, bringing home an impressive collection of medals across multiple events in youth and adult competitions. Under the experienced leadership of Head Coach Chris Lambert and Coach Jason Garrett, the club’s young athletes showed grit, skill, and teamwork after training diligently since January.
“Our youth crews are young and many are novices, but they’ve been putting in the work. This event really shows how far they’ve come,” said Head Coach Lambert. “Our adults did great, with both Masters boats medaling as well.” Coach Garrett added, “This event definitely showcased camaraderie and commitment to each other. We’re excited to see what they do next.”

These results reflect not only the individual dedication of each athlete but also the strength of Row Georgia’s team culture and coaching philosophy.
The team now sets its sights on the upcoming Dogwood Youth Championships in Oak Ridge, TN, taking place April 25–27. The event includes time trials, semifinals, and grand finals, with nearly 600 entries to date.
Founded in August 2015 as Peachtree City Rowing, Inc., and located on Lake McIntosh in Peachtree City, Row Georgia is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to create a vibrant and competitive rowing community south of Atlanta.
