Two student entrepreneur teams from Launch Fayette participated in the K-12 InVenture Prize state finals on March 12th at Georgia Tech.
The K-12 InVenture Prize is an invention and entrepreneurship program that challenges students to identify real-world problems and design novel solutions through analysis, creativity, and the scientific method.
Team Solar Sip consisting of McIntosh High juniors Rachael Lin and Anshika Gaur presented their project on an innovative water filtration system designed to address the severe water crisis in regions where access to drinkable water is limited. Powered by sunlight, it eliminates the need for electricity, making it ideal for remote and off-grid areas.
McIntosh junior Aadi Vaidya presented his project TremorTech which aims to improve the quality of life for Parkinson’s patients through the use of wearable technology to reduce the debilitating effect of tremors with a commitment to affordability and innovation. Aadi received an award from the Georgia Intellectual Property Alliance providing Aadi with 10 hours of legal assistance towards the first step in assessing patentability.
Launch Fayette is an incubator designed to support startups with the necessary tools to launch and scale successfully. Launch Fayette is nurturing local startups by providing comprehensive education programs, guidance and mentorship, and a collaborative environment to transform ideas into exciting ventures.
