The Town of Tyrone is delighted to announce the hosting of Leadership Fayette’s first Touch A Truck event, set to take place on February 22, 2025 at Shamrock Park from 11 am to 2pm. This family-friendly event promises a day of fun, learning, and community. Attendees are encouraged to bring new or nearly new denim to donate for foster children in need in all sizes and colors. All jeans will be donated to the Bloom Closet, which provides free clothing and supplies to thousands of foster children from 142 Georgia counties.
The Touch-A-Truck event offers a unique opportunity for children and adults alike to get up close and personal with an array of trucks, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and more. Attendees will have the chance to touch, climb, and explore these vehicles, meeting the men and women who operate them and learning about their important roles in our community.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community members to engage with several business owners, elected officials and more and see some really cool trucks!” said Dia Hunter, Town Council Member of Tyrone, GA.
The Town of Tyrone, Bloom, The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Fayette extend their gratitude to the businesses and organizations that have generously donated vehicles and resources to this event. Their support is invaluable in making the Touch-A-Truck event a resounding success.
